Patna: Patna district in Bihar is preparing to add a new industrial park in Bakhtiyarpur, which will cover 500 acres of land. This will be the district’s fourth industrial park after Patliputra, Fatuha, and Bihta. The district administration has already started the land acquisition process. Four villages in Bakhtiyarpur—Saidpur, Bahadurpur, Gangapur Narauli, and Tara Chandpur—have been identified for the project. Land surveyors have been assigned to prepare maps, and officials are working to complete the process quickly.
Farmers whose land will be acquired are promised good compensation. Officials have said that farmers will receive four times the circle rate for their land. The government has also assured that the process will be transparent and smooth, so that farmers do not face problems. Once the industrial park is ready, it is expected to bring new jobs to the people of Bakhtiyarpur and nearby areas. Small, medium, and large industries will be encouraged to set up their factories here, especially in food processing, textiles, electronics, logistics, and agro-based industries. Special facilities will also be provided for startups so that young entrepreneurs can begin their businesses in Bihar.
One of the biggest advantages of the new industrial park is its location. It is close to national highways and railway lines, making it easier to transport raw materials and finished goods. Officials say this connectivity is attracting more investors to the area. Many people are interested in investing in Bakhtiyarpur because it is well-connected and has modern facilities.
Patna district’s existing industrial areas—Patliputra, Fatuha, and Bihta—are almost full, which is why the new park in Bakhtiyarpur has become necessary. Officials have said that if more investors come forward in the future, new industrial parks may also be developed in other areas like Bikram. With Bakhtiyarpur joining the list, Patna district is strengthening its position as an important industrial centre in Bihar, offering opportunities for jobs, investment, and local business growth.
