Patna: Students from the history, ancient history and philosophy departments of BD College visited the Bapu Tower Museum on an educational tour, gaining a deeper understanding of Mahatma Gandhi’s life, philosophy and his connection with Bihar.
Organised under the guidance of the college’s new principal, Prof Ratna Amrit, the visit aimed to foster a research-oriented vision among students by engaging directly with Gandhi’s thoughts and the historical context of his work.
The Bapu Tower Museum, dedicated to preserving and promoting Gandhi’s legacy, offers an immersive experience that goes beyond traditional monuments. Its exhibitions highlight key events from India’s freedom movement, Gandhi’s principles of non-violence and truth, and his ties with Bihar.
Students expressed their gratitude to Prof Amrit, describing the visit as a memorable and enlightening experience. Many shared that the tour had left a lasting impression on their understanding of Gandhi’s role in shaping modern India.
Faculty members including Dr Divya Kumar, Dr Manita Kumari Yadav, Dr Diwakar Kumar Pandey, Neetu Tiwari, Dr Swarana Kumar and Alok Kumar accompanied the students on the tour.
