Gaya/Patna: Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) Managing Director Naveen Kumar, IAS, on Monday inspected ongoing development works at the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC), Gaya, and reviewed the progress of various construction and infrastructure-related components of the project.

During the site inspection, the Managing Director took updates from officials concerned on the status of ongoing works and subsequently chaired a review meeting to assess the progress, quality and implementation timelines of different project components.

The meeting was attended by BIADA Executive Director (Operations) Shambhu Prasad Singh, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Suman Prasad Singh, officials from the Road Construction Department (RCD), Water Resources Department (WRD) and Electricity Department, representatives of project consultant EGIS, and officials of contractor NKC.

Officials Directed to Expedite Construction

During the review meeting, Naveen Kumar directed all concerned officials and agencies to accelerate ongoing construction and infrastructure works and ensure that the project components are completed within the stipulated timelines.

He also emphasised the need for regular monitoring of the progress and effective coordination among the departments, consultants and executing agencies involved in the project.

Land and Encroachment Issues Reviewed

Land-related issues in the project area were also discussed during the meeting.

The Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Sherghati, and Circle Officer (CO), Dobhi, were directed to identify encroachments within the project area and initiate necessary action for their removal in accordance with the prescribed procedure.

The move is aimed at ensuring that land-related issues do not hinder the implementation of development and infrastructure works at IMC Gaya.

IMC Gaya Expansion Plans Discussed

The Managing Director also reviewed the long-term development potential of the industrial cluster.

Naveen Kumar directed officials to continue work on the current project while simultaneously exploring the possibility of future expansion of IMC Gaya in view of anticipated industrial requirements.

The emphasis on expansion is intended to ensure that the industrial infrastructure can accommodate future investment and industrial activity in the region.

Focus on Industrial Infrastructure and Investment

Naveen Kumar said IMC Gaya is an important project for developing modern industrial infrastructure and promoting investment in Bihar.

He emphasised that timely and quality implementation of the project would help support industrial activity in the region and create a more conducive environment for investors.

The Managing Director directed all concerned departments, consultants and agencies to maintain effective coordination and conduct regular reviews of project progress.

Regular Monitoring Ordered

BIADA officials and project agencies have been asked to maintain momentum in the implementation of the IMC Gaya project and address issues that could cause delays.

The latest inspection and review are part of efforts to monitor construction quality, resolve land-related challenges and ensure that the infrastructure is developed within the prescribed timelines.
