25 New Sugar Mills Planned Across Bihar

Investors proposing new projects were assured government support in securing land and obtaining necessary project approvals.
The government aims to facilitate the establishment of new industrial units by providing support during the initial stages of investment and project implementation.
Ethanol and Bio-Energy Among Key Focus Areas
The state’s investment push extends beyond sugar production.
The government is encouraging projects involving ethanol production, electricity generation and bio-energy using sugarcane and its by-products.
Officials said these industries could create additional employment and income opportunities for young people while also generating greater value from sugarcane.
The government is also promoting initiatives related to fertilisers, seeds and modern agricultural machinery to support sugarcane farmers.
Bihar Showcases Investment Opportunities in New Delhi
A dedicated Bihar government stall was set up at the conference to showcase the state’s new sugarcane investment policy and the facilities available to prospective investors.
