Sabour/New Delhi: Dr Anil Kumar Singh, director of research at Bihar Agricultural University, has been conferred the Intellectual Achievers of World Award for his contributions to education and research, in a ceremony held on January 10.
The award was presented by Friendship Forum, which cited Singh’s “outstanding achievements and distinguished services to the nation in the field of educational excellence”. The recognition places his work among a select group of academics acknowledged for intellectual leadership and long-term impact on higher education.
Congratulating him, the university’s vice-chancellor, D. R. Singh, said the honour reflected not only individual merit but also the growing national profile of the institution. “Dr Anil Kumar Singh’s contributions to education and research are exemplary, not only for the university but also at the national level,” he said, adding that the award strengthened the university’s academic standing.

As director of research, Anil Kumar Singh has played a key role in improving research quality and encouraging innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration and human resource development. Colleagues say his leadership has helped shape a more rigorous and forward-looking academic environment, giving the university a distinct identity within India’s agricultural education system.
Faculty members, scientists and staff at the Sabour campus described the recognition as a moment of pride for the institution and for Bihar’s higher education sector more broadly, viewing it as acknowledgement of Singh’s sustained commitment to academic excellence and nation-building through education.
