Gopalganj: In a daring incident on Sunday night, three armed criminals targeted the Flipkart office near the Electricity Department office in the Arar Mor area of the city, engaging in a robbery that involved the hostage-taking of an employee at gunpoint. The criminals forcibly broke into the office, and confiscated Rs 1,23,612 in cash, along with two mobile phones, before making a swift escape.
Upon receiving the report of the incident, the city police promptly arrived at the scene to investigate and take necessary action. An FIR has been filed against the three unidentified criminals, and the police are actively working to bring the culprits to justice.
According to the information gathered, the employees were diligently carrying out their tasks in the Flipkart office near the Electricity Department office in the Arar area when three criminals, riding a bike, forcefully entered. The criminals proceeded to restrain all employees, employing abusive language and physical violence.
During the ordeal, two of the criminals targeted the office’s locker, seizing Rs 1,23,612 in cash and two mobile phones. The entire sequence of events was captured on the office’s CCTV camera. Subsequent to the robbery, the criminals brandished weapons and fled the scene.
Following the incident, Flipkart office in-charge Abhiram Kumar, provided a statement to the police. Based on the available CCTV footage, the police initiated raids and filed an FIR. SP Swarn Prabhat assured that the culprits have been identified, and their apprehension is imminent.
