Patna: The Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) has approved 20 new industrial projects involving proposed investments of around Rs 350 crore. The approvals were granted during a meeting of the Project Clearance Committee (PCC) chaired by Industries Secretary Kundan Kumar, who also serves as Managing Director of BIADA and Infrastructure Development Authority (IDA).
Officials said nearly 30 acres of land had been allotted for the projects, which are expected to generate employment opportunities for around 2,300 people.
Projects Spread Across Multiple Sectors
According to officials, the approved projects span a range of sectors including:
- Food processing
- Software development
- PEB fabrication manufacturing
- Furniture manufacturing
- PVC and UPVC pipe manufacturing
- Compressed biogas (CBG)
- Healthcare
- General manufacturing
Authorities said the projects would help strengthen Bihar’s industrial base while expanding economic activity at the district level.
Industrial Units Planned Across Bihar
The proposed units will be established across multiple industrial areas, including:
- IA Kumarbagh
- IGC Begusarai
- IA Hajipur
- IA Patliputra
- IA Bariyarpur
- IA Sasaram
Officials said the projects were expected to contribute to balanced industrial growth across different regions of Bihar.
Government Highlights Employment and Investment Push
Minister Shreyasi Singh said the approved projects would provide fresh momentum to Bihar’s industrial and technological development.
According to the minister:
- The projects would create large-scale employment opportunities
- Local youth would benefit from skill-based jobs
- Bihar was working towards becoming a modern industrial and manufacturing hub
She added that the government remained committed to building an investor-friendly ecosystem in the state.

BIADA Promises Transparent Land Allocation
Secretary Kundan Kumar said the state government was focusing on inclusive and balanced industrial development through transparent and time-bound land allotment procedures.
He said Bihar was attempting to improve the investment climate through:
- Better industrial infrastructure
- Improved connectivity
- Simplified approval processes
- Policy support for investors
Officials added that these measures were aimed at accelerating project implementation and attracting private investment into the state.

- Bharat GPS Bioenergy Pvt Ltd
- Crispano Foods & Beverage Pvt Ltd
- SP Institute of Workforce Development Pvt Ltd
- Experia Prefaxo Pvt Ltd
- Rayush Healthcare Pvt Ltd
- Makhayo Foods Pvt Ltd
Officials said implementation of the projects was expected to further boost industrial activity and create additional employment and self-employment opportunities for young people in Bihar.
