Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has issued an advisory for students seeking admission to the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) programme, urging them to verify whether an institute is officially recognised before enrolling.
The Board has published a list of government and private D.El.Ed institutes that are recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and affiliated with the Bihar School Examination Board. Officials said admissions should be taken only in institutions included in the list.
Board Warns Against Unrecognised Institutes
According to BSEB, only D.El.Ed programmes offered by NCTE-recognised institutions affiliated with the Board will be considered valid.
The Board cautioned that admission to an institute not included in the official list could create problems related to course recognition, examinations, certification and future teacher recruitment, potentially resulting in a loss of both time and money for students.
Official List Released to Improve Transparency
BSEB said the list has been made public to help candidates make informed decisions and to prevent students from being misled by advertisements or unauthorised institutions.
The Board advised students and parents to verify an institute’s recognition and affiliation status through the official list before completing the admission process.
Institutions Asked to Verify Their Details
The Board has also directed principals and heads of all government and private D.El.Ed institutions to verify the information published in the list.
If there are discrepancies relating to an institution’s name, address, intake capacity or other details, institutions have been asked to notify the Board with supporting documents.
Online Objection Process
BSEB has introduced an online process for submitting corrections.
Institutions can send objections along with relevant certificates and supporting documents to the designated email address, coevividhbseb@gmail.com.
Deadline for Corrections
The Board said objections can be submitted from July 13 to July 15 until 5 pm.
Officials added that requests received after the deadline will not be considered.
Advice for Teacher Aspirants
The D.El.Ed programme is a mandatory qualification for candidates seeking employment as primary school teachers in Bihar.
The Board advised aspiring teachers to rely on the official list of recognised institutions rather than promotional material or claims made by intermediaries. It said verifying an institute’s recognition before admission would help candidates avoid complications related to examinations, certification and future recruitment.
