PATNA – Students who rank in the top 20 percentile in the Intermediate Examination 2023 conducted by the Bihar School Examination Committee (Bihar Board) are eligible to apply online for scholarships under the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students. The Bihar Board has provided the list of eligible students on the committee’s website: http://biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in.
Applications are accepted through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) from October 1. To access detailed information, students can visit www.scholarship.gov.in. During the application process on NSP, students need to provide their roll code and roll number. It is important to note that the annual income of the applicant’s guardian from all sources should not exceed Rs 4.5 lakh.
The examination committee has urged Plus Two and graduate-level recognized educational institutions to display the board’s advertisement on their notice boards. This is to disseminate information about the scholarship scheme and raise awareness among students. Additionally, the committee plans to distribute pamphlets to inform students about the scheme, ensuring that the students of Bihar can take advantage of this opportunity. The scholarship amount is transferred by the Government of India to the beneficiary’s account under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) program.
