Patna: Aspirants waiting for the next round of teacher recruitment in Bihar could see the process move forward soon, with the state government aiming to send the TRE 4 requisition to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) by July 27.
According to Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari, the Education Department is also moving ahead with the long-awaited teacher transfer process, with online applications scheduled to open on July 29.
TRE 4 Requisition Expected by July 27
The minister said roster-related formalities are currently being completed in two districts before the requisition is forwarded through the General Administration Department to the BPSC.
According to the Education Department, completing these formalities is necessary before the recruitment process can formally begin.
Recruitment Notification Likely in August
Once the requisition reaches the BPSC, the commission is expected to issue the TRE 4 recruitment notification in August, officials said.
The recruitment drive is expected to fill more than 20,000 teaching posts across Bihar.
The state government had earlier announced a roadmap to recruit 1 lakh teachers over five years, with an annual target of around 20,000 appointments.
Teacher Transfer Process to Begin on July 29
The Education Department has also announced the schedule for teacher transfers.

Online applications begin: July 29
Last date to apply: August 5
The department said the transfer process will be carried out according to the notified schedule and is expected to conclude by October 31.
Transfers to Be Conducted in Three Phases
According to the Education Department, transfers will take place in three stages:
Adjustment and rationalisation
Mutual transfers
General transfers
Officials said the phased approach is intended to ensure vacancies and staffing requirements are addressed before general transfers are processed.
Posting Preferences for Teachers
The Education Minister said efforts would be made to post female teachers within their own panchayat or nearby areas wherever possible.
For male teachers, the department plans to give postings in nearby blocks, with the aim of reducing commuting distances and improving administrative convenience.
Separate Schedule for TRE 3 Teachers
The minister said teachers appointed through TRE 3 will have a separate transfer schedule.
According to the department, a meeting will be held shortly to finalise the timeline and operational guidelines for those transfers.
Decision on Librarian Recruitment Expected
The Education Department is also considering recruitment and transfer-related decisions for librarians.
According to Mithilesh Tiwari, a decision on the issue could be taken within the next week.
He added that there is currently no proposal to transfer teachers posted in model schools.
Department to Work on Sundays
To ensure the TRE 4 process remains on schedule, the Education Department will function on Sundays to complete pending roster and requisition work.
According to the minister, the immediate priority is to submit the requisition to the BPSC within the planned timeline so that the recruitment advertisement can be issued in August.
