New Delhi/Patna: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has opened applications for 6,557 technician posts, offering opportunities for candidates seeking government jobs in the Indian Railways. The recruitment drive covers Technician Grade-I (Signal) and Technician Grade-III posts across multiple railway zones.
According to the official notification, online applications are being accepted from June 30 to July 29.
Over 6,500 Vacancies Announced
The RRB has notified a total of 6,557 vacancies, comprising:
Technician Grade-I (Signal): 323 posts
Technician Grade-III: 6,234 posts
Candidates can apply through the official RRB website of their respective railway zone.
Salary and Pay Levels
According to the notification:
Technician Grade-I (Signal): Initial basic pay of Rs 29,200 per month under Pay Level-5
Technician Grade-III: Initial basic pay of Rs 19,900 per month under Pay Level-2
Selected candidates will also be entitled to allowances and other benefits as per Railway and Central Government rules.
Eligibility and Age Limit
For Technician Grade-I (Signal), applicants must be 18 to 33 years of age.
For Technician Grade-III, the prescribed age limit is 18 to 30 years.
According to the RRB, candidates belonging to reserved categories will receive age relaxation in accordance with government norms.
