The Lakhisarai water supply project was approved at a cost of Rs 150.96 crore, while the Kishanganj project received administrative approval worth Rs 53.71 crore. The projects are expected to provide safe drinking water to lakhs of urban residents and improve civic infrastructure.

The Chief Minister said the government remained committed to ensuring access to quality drinking water for every household as part of its vision of a developed Bihar.

Sugar Mills To Be Revived In Mithilanchal

The initiative aims to create new opportunities for sugarcane farmers, generate employment for local youth and stimulate industrial growth across the Mithilanchal region. The project will be implemented by Indian Potash Limited (IPL), with the state providing financial assistance equivalent to 40% of the approved project cost based on the bank appraisal report.
