Push Towards Digital Census
The self-enumeration initiative, launched on April 17, is aimed at making the census process more transparent, efficient and citizen-driven.
Authorities said extensive awareness campaigns have contributed to the strong response and expect participation to increase further in the coming days.
Citizens can complete the process by accessing the self-enumeration portal via mobile phones or computers until May 1, 2026.
Next Phase From May 2
Following the digital phase, house listing and housing census operations will be conducted from May 2 to May 31, during which enumerators will visit households across the state.
Officials have urged citizens to share their self-enumeration (SE) ID with enumerators to ensure accurate data matching and streamline the overall process.
The state government said the initiative marks a significant step towards modernising census operations and improving data accuracy through digital participation.
