Patna:  Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is set to distribute appointment letters to 25,000 teachers at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on November 2, a significant event that has prompted Patna Traffic Police to release a comprehensive route chart in a bid to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and prevent congestion in the capital city.

In a meticulously planned traffic management effort, the authorities have guaranteed that there will be no disruptions near Gandhi Maidan and minimal traffic congestion throughout the city. Traffic police have issued a detailed route chart that lays out the logistics for the day of the program.

As per the route chart:

Only the vehicles of the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and Bihar Government ministers will be permitted to enter from Gandhi Maidan gate number- 1. Senior officials attending the event before 12 noon will disembark near Gate number- 1 and enter the premises on foot. Their vehicles will be parked at the designated parking area within Gyan Bhawan.

All vehicles carrying candidates participating in the program will enter Gandhi Maidan through gate number 7, 8, and 10 and park at their designated locations.

Media vehicles will access Gandhi Maidan via gate number -13 and park at their assigned area within Gandhi Maidan.

For public transport vehicles approaching Gandhi Maidan from Thakurbari turn, there will be a diversion towards Nala Road.

Tempos, e-rickshaws, and commercial vehicles approaching Gandhi Maidan from Golghar Tiraha and Bailey Road will be redirected towards Buddha Marg.

Commercial vehicles, tempos, e-rickshaws, and more arriving from various routes will also face diversions and alternate routes, carefully orchestrated to maintain a seamless traffic flow during the event.

In light of the occasion, heavy vehicles originating from various districts and areas have been temporarily restricted from entering the city, with operation closures enforced on specific routes leading to Patna.

An emergency route has been designated for swift access during the event on November 2, providing a clear path from PMCH Gandhi Maidan Gate No. 05 to Children’s Park, and from DM residence to the right turn in front of the Commissioner’s office, leading to JP Ganga Path to PMCH Patna.
