Patna: BJP leaders accused Congress of insulting Modi’s mother after the party’s Bihar unit posted the video on Thursday. The ruling party reacted sharply on X, saying:
“First Prime Minister PM Modi’s late mother was abused from the Congress-RJD platform. Now his mother is being insulted by making a video. Have some shame Congress people, how low will you stoop?”
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said the act violated the cultural ethos of Bihar. “Congress has deviated from the culture and values of Bihar. This is a symbol of anarchic mentality, which Indian culture and society will never accept. The public will respond to this and teach Congress a lesson,” he said.

अब उनकी मां का वीडियो बनाकर अपमान किया जा रहा है।

Defending the post, Congress MP Sukhdev Bhagat maintained that the intent was not derogatory. “PM Modi’s mother is respectable for us. The message through this video was that his late mother should not be used in elections. It is not right to bring any mother into politics. Congress has tried to give a good message through this video,” he argued.
However, Bihar minister Ashok Chaudhary condemned the video, saying, “Congress has fallen very low. The people of the country are not ready to accept Congress, they should think about the reasons for this.”
The row comes amid heightened tensions during the ongoing Vote Adhikar Yatra, with both BJP and Congress trading charges ahead of the assembly polls in Bihar.
