Patna: The Government of Bihar has released a fresh list of district in-charge officers, assigning senior IAS officials to oversee administration across the state in an effort to make governance more effective and responsive.
According to the notification, the officers will be responsible for strengthening coordination between departments, monitoring development schemes, maintaining law and order, and addressing matters related to public interest in their assigned districts.
Among the key appointments, senior IAS officer C K Anil has been named district in-charge for Gaya, while Arvind Kumar Chaudhary will oversee Bhojpur. B Rajender has been given charge of the capital, Patna, and N Vijayalakshmi will be in charge of Samastipur.
Other appointments include K Senthil Kumar for Nawada, H R Srinivas for West Champaran, Santosh Kumar Mall for Purnea, and Pankaj Kumar for Rohtas.
The list further names Narmadeshwar Lal as in-charge of Saharsa, Vinay Kumar for Muzaffarpur, Mayank Varwade for Buxar, and Pratima Satish Kumar Verma for Saran.
Additional appointments include Pankaj Pal for Begusarai, Vandana Preyashi for Vaishali, Lokesh Kumar Singh for Madhubani, and Abhay Kumar Singh for East Champaran.
The notification also assigns Ajay Yadav to Katihar, Divesh Sehra to Kishanganj, Sandeep R Pudkalkatti to Banka, and Dharmendra Singh to Madhepura.
Further postings include Gopal Meena for Gopalganj, Manoj Kumar for Aurangabad, Deepak Anand for Bhagalpur, and Sanjay Kumar Singh for Darbhanga.
Officials said similar arrangements have been made for remaining districts, including Jamui, Sheohar, Supaul, Kaimur, Khagaria, Siwan, Sitamarhi, Sheikhpura, Arwal, Lakhisarai, Jehanabad and Munger.
