Chhapra: In a dramatic show of support, Bhojpuri film star and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate Khesari Lal Yadav was showered with hundreds of litres of milk and weighed in coins during his campaign stop in Chhapra, Bihar.
The actor-turned-politician, who is contesting from the Chhapra Assembly constituency, arrived on Friday to inaugurate his election office. What followed resembled a scene straight out of a Bhojpuri film: supporters poured nearly 400 litres of milk over him as drums and cheers filled the air.
Videos from the event show Yadav standing on stage drenched in milk while fans chant his name and toss flowers. After the so-called “milk bath,” his supporters went a step further, weighing him with coins in an exuberant display of loyalty.

Crowds of young supporters thronged the venue, filming the spectacle on their phones as the video quickly went viral on social media.
