Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bihar on November 2 and 3 as part of the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) campaign for the upcoming state assembly elections. The visit will include a high-profile roadshow in Patna followed by a major rally in Katihar, aimed at galvanising voter support for the NDA and its candidates.
On November 2, PM Modi is expected to arrive in Patna, where he will lead a grand roadshow in support of NDA nominees. Party officials have said preparations are underway “on a war footing” to ensure a large turnout and smooth execution of the event. The following day, November 3, the prime minister will travel to Katihar to address a public meeting in favour of NDA candidate Tarkishore Prasad.
Katihar District Magistrate Manish Kumar Meena has confirmed the prime minister’s programme and provided administrative details of the visit. PM Modi is scheduled to reach Katihar at around 3pm, with the rally to be held near Bhasna. A helipad is being constructed close to the venue, and the district administration is finalising logistics based on a detailed minute-by-minute itinerary received from the Prime Minister’s Office.
Security has been significantly tightened across Katihar and adjoining districts. Superintendent of Police Shikhar Chaudhary said vehicle checks have been intensified along the Katihar–Purnia main road, where public movement will be restricted until 5pm on November 3. Additional security measures are also in place near the Bengal border and the Diara region adjoining Jharkhand’s Sahibganj district. Police stations in these areas have been placed on high alert to prevent any untoward incidents during the visit.
