Patna: With Bihar’s crucial assembly election results set to be announced in a matter of hours, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar paid a visit to the Janata Dal (United) IT War Room on Thursday around 3 pm. Kumar met with the team managing the party’s digital operations, congratulating them for their efforts and posing for photographs.
The JD(U)’s IT unit, operating from a residence on Strand Road, has been meticulously preparing digital content for each assembly constituency. Teams focused on creating Facebook pages, assembling video clippings of Kumar’s addresses, and analysing voter data to provide minute-by-minute updates on counting day. A significant portion of the workforce comprised young volunteers dedicated to the party’s online outreach.
Kumar praised the team for their work and wished them success in their future endeavours, acknowledging the growing role of digital strategy in modern political campaigns.
Jitan Ram Manjhi (@jitanrmanjhi) November 13, 2025
Meanwhile, Union Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) founder Jitan Ram Manjhi urged party workers to abstain from celebratory activities, including bursting firecrackers. Posting on Instagram, Manjhi wrote: “If workers want to celebrate victory, they should donate this money to help a poor person. This will be true Manjhiism.” Despite winning fewer seats, he claimed that HAM(S) would achieve the highest strike rate in the elections.
