Khagaria: The Khagaria district administration has intensified its voter awareness campaign ahead of the 2025 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections, with the goal of achieving 100% voter turnout. As part of the ongoing initiative, a voter awareness rally was organized in Rahimpur North Panchayat on Tuesday under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Cell.
The rally was held under the guidance of District Election Officer and District Magistrate (DM) Naveen Kumar. Senior officials, including Superintendent of Police (SP) Rakesh Kumar and Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Abhishek Palasia, were also present.
Speaking at the event, DM Naveen Kumar said Khagaria aims to record the highest voter turnout in Bihar this election. “Last time, only 46 to 47 percent of voters in this area exercised their franchise. This time, we want to ensure 100% participation,” he said.
He emphasized that democracy flourishes through public participation and urged every eligible citizen to vote. “The success of democracy lies in active public involvement. I especially appeal to women to come forward and vote fearlessly,” he added.
‘Strengthen Democracy with Your Vote’
The District Magistrate urged voters to celebrate November 6—the polling day—as a festival of democracy. He called upon citizens to strengthen democracy through their single, decisive vote.
Later, during an evening chaupal, officials interacted with villagers, highlighting the administration’s key goals: achieving full voter turnout, conducting special awareness drives at polling stations with previously low participation, and motivating youth, first-time voters, and women to vote.
Residents—both men and women—enthusiastically participated in the event, pledging to vote and inspire others to do the same. The message, “Every vote has power; your vote decides the future,” resonated strongly among the attendees, creating a spirited atmosphere in Rahimpur North Panchayat.
