Patna: The 13th Bihar Entrepreneurship Conference 2026 was held in Patna on Saturday, bringing together entrepreneurs, policymakers and financial institutions to discuss strategies for boosting startups and employment in the state.
The event, organised by the Bihar Entrepreneurs Association at Gyan Bhawan, was inaugurated by industries minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal and agriculture minister Ram Kripal Yadav.
Focus on startups and employment

Speaking at the event, Jaiswal said the state government is working to expand employment opportunities across Bihar and promote self-reliance among youth. He noted that startups and entrepreneurs from all 534 blocks participated in the conference, reflecting growing interest in enterprise development.
He added that the government remains committed to strengthening the startup ecosystem, encouraging investment and supporting new ventures.
Agriculture minister Ram Kripal Yadav said the conference would help promote industrial growth and create opportunities for young entrepreneurs in the state.
Role of institutions and innovation

Gautam Kumar Singh, chief general manager of NABARD, highlighted Bihar’s potential in agriculture and innovation. He proposed the creation of a “Bihar Atlas” to map startups and agri-entrepreneurs, aimed at accelerating development and improving access to support systems.
He also pointed to NABARD’s initiatives in providing financial and structural assistance to emerging enterprises.
Bridging ideas and industry

Abhishek Singh, president of the Entrepreneurs Association of India, said the conference was designed to connect grassroots ideas with industrial execution. He noted that Bihar’s startup ecosystem has evolved over the past decade, including early steps such as the formation of a startup committee and the launch of a state startup policy and venture capital support.
Bihar Entrepreneurs Association president Pankaj Singh urged participants to view the conference as an opportunity to translate ideas into action.
Officials said the event reflects Bihar’s ongoing efforts to build a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem and create sustainable avenues for growth and employment.
