Bihar Exit Polls 2025: NDA Surges Ahead as BJP, JD(U) Leaders Cite ‘Trust, Development and Governance’

With most exit polls predicting a clear edge for the NDA, leaders from the BJP and JD(U) claim voters have rewarded Nitish Kumar’s governance and Modi’s development push, while the opposition calls the projections premature and misleading.

Patna: As the dust settles on Bihar’s high-stakes Assembly election, exit polls have given the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) a decisive lead, projecting a renewed mandate for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the BJP-led government. With results due on 14 November, political rhetoric has sharpened — and so has the confidence within the ruling camp.

Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal said the numbers reflect “the people’s unwavering trust in the double-engine government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.”

“Bihar’s voters have faith in the NDA’s vision of a developed state,” Jaiswal told reporters. “Even after two decades of governance, the mood is festive — proof that our work speaks for itself.”

Union Minister Nityanand Rai echoed this optimism, asserting that the exit polls “only capture a glimpse” of the NDA’s true strength.

“The real verdict will be even more emphatic. The people have voted for Modi’s leadership and Nitish Kumar’s sushasan (good governance),” Rai said. “The NDA will form the government with a commanding majority.”

Bihar Minister Ashok Choudhary added that the alliance is on course for its best-ever performance since 2010.

“We’ve seen people’s enthusiasm first-hand across constituencies — expect surprising results, and all in NDA’s favour,” he said.

BJP, JD(U) Credit ‘Development Politics’ for the Upswing

Senior BJP leader Vijay Kumar Sinha, who also serves as Deputy Chief Minister, thanked voters for “endorsing the speed of Bihar’s development.”

“The people of the mother of democracy have once again trusted the double-engine government,” he said. “Bihar has rejected empty promises and chosen progress.”

Meanwhile, JD(U) spokespersons maintained that Nitish Kumar’s image as a “performing chief minister” remains unshaken. “Our kaam bolta hai — the work speaks louder than words,” one party insider remarked.

Opposition Rejects Polls, Calls Them ‘Deeply Flawed’

But the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and its allies have dismissed the exit poll numbers outright. RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari said past experience shows “pollsters have often been wrong.”

“The truth may be harassed but never defeated,” he said. “The people of Bihar have voted against the NDA, and Tejashwi Yadav will form the next government.”

Independent MP Pappu Yadav from Purnia also questioned the credibility of exit polls, calling them “speculative theatre.”

“When have exit polls ever been right? The ground reality is different — Bihar has voted for change,” he claimed.

“2025 Phir Se Nitish”: The Slogan Echoes in NDA Ranks

From West Champaran’s Betia to Patna, NDA leaders are rallying around one confident slogan — “2025 phir se Nitish” (“Nitish again in 2025”). BJP candidate Renu Devi said voters chose performance over promises.

“This is not a vote for hollow claims, but for development,” she said. “People have seen real progress and want continuity.”

As Bihar braces for counting day on 14 November, both alliances are holding their breath. For the NDA, the polls reaffirm faith in stability and governance. For the opposition, they are a prelude to an upset waiting to happen.
