Bihar: Exodus of 22 Leaders Rocks Chirag Paswan’s Leadership in LJP-Ram Vilas party

Patna: Amidst tumult within the LJP-Ram Vilas party, chaos erupted following the ticket distribution process. The departure of former MP Arun Kumar, who questioned Chirag Paswan’s leadership, marked the beginning of discontent. Subsequently, 22 party office-bearers followed suit, dealing a significant blow to Chirag’s leadership.

The exodus included prominent figures such as National Vice President Renu Kushwaha, National General Secretary Satish Kumar, and several others, each citing dissatisfaction with Chirag’s management. Accusations of ticket selling tarnished Chirag’s reputation further, with leaders alleging deceit and manipulation in candidate selection.

Ravindra Kumar Singh, the former Organization Minister, accused Chirag of leveraging his father’s legacy for personal gain, while others decried the influence of money in candidate selection. Former MLA Satish Kumar accused Chirag of betraying promises, highlighting instances where assurances of electoral candidacy were reneged upon.

Renu Kushwaha, slated for candidacy in Khagaria, saw her opportunity usurped by a prominent businessman, while similar incidents unfolded in Nalanda and Samastipur. Even Arun Kumar, a former ally, lamented Chirag’s betrayal, recounting broken promises of electoral support.
