Vaishali/Patna : Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Wednesday inspected flood-affected areas of Terasia and Saraipur panchayats in Vaishali’s Raghopur and interacted directly with residents about the relief being provided by the state government.
During the visit, the Chief Minister asked residents whether the Rs 7,000 flood relief amount had reached their bank accounts. While some residents confirmed receiving the money, others said the payment had not yet reached their accounts.
CM Samrat Chaudhary directed officials to address the issue immediately and said those who have not received the relief amount should register a complaint on the Sahyog portal.
Complaint on Sahyog Portal for Pending Payment
The Chief Minister said that people who have not received the Rs 7,000 relief amount should file a complaint through the portal. According to him, the payment would be sent to the beneficiary’s account within 24 hours after the complaint is registered.
He also said that all eligible flood-affected people would receive the relief assistance and that no affected family should be left out.
Announcements to Be Made in Villages
CM Samrat Chaudhary said announcements would be made village by village from the following day to inform flood-affected residents about the relief process.
The move is intended to ensure that people who have not received the assistance are aware of the complaint mechanism and can seek resolution.
CM Says Relief Distribution Will Not Depend on Politics
During the interaction at Saraipur panchayat, some villagers alleged that local relief distribution was being influenced by political considerations and urged the administration to ensure that assistance was distributed fairly.
Responding to the allegations, the Chief Minister said relief would not be linked to political affiliation or voting preferences.
He said the floods had affected people across communities and that assistance would be provided to all eligible affected families.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan Also Present
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, administrative officials and a large number of local residents were also present during the Chief Minister’s inspection.
The administration is continuing relief measures in flood-affected areas, with the focus on ensuring that eligible families receive the announced financial assistance.
