Patna: A political storm has erupted in Bihar over a press conference poster featuring only Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, ahead of the state assembly elections. The Grand Alliance’s joint event, held at Hotel Maurya in Patna, has drawn criticism from opposition parties and raised questions about internal dynamics within the coalition.
The poster, which excluded images of other alliance leaders, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, was seized upon by critics. BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala accused the alliance of “stealing the honour” of its own members, arguing that the poster should have included Gandhi. “This is not an alliance, it’s a nexus,” Poonawala said.
JD(U) leader Neeraj Kumar also questioned Yadav’s decision, suggesting it undermined leaders from other constituent parties. Observers noted that while leaders from across the alliance held the press conference, only Yadav’s image was prominently displayed, leading to accusations of sidelining senior figures.
