Patna: The parents of the minor victim in the Jamui incident met Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Thursday, September 24, following which the girl’s mother expressed satisfaction with the action taken in the case.
The mother said the family was pleased with the swift response following the incident involving her daughter. She referred to the arrest of three people initially and the subsequent encounter involving the alleged prime accused.
Assurance On Safety And Education
The victim’s mother said the Chief Minister had invited the family for the meeting and assured them that their concerns, including their daughter’s safety and education, would be addressed.
“The Chief Minister had invited us. He gave assurances regarding all the points we raised, including our daughter’s safety and education. He told us, ‘Your daughter is like my own daughter; rest assured.’ It was a very positive meeting.”
She said she hoped that no other girl would experience what happened to her daughter.

Mother Expresses Satisfaction With Action
The victim’s mother also expressed hope that strong measures would be taken against those involved in such incidents.
“I hope that what happened to my daughter does not happen to any other girl. Just as my daughter pleaded for mercy, those miscreants should also be made to beg. I hope the Chief Minister takes measures that instill fear in such criminals.”
She further appealed to people in Bihar to have faith in the Chief Minister, saying he listened attentively to the family and took effective action.
“We are satisfied, and so are our family, society, and women in general.”

The meeting came amid continuing attention on the Jamui case and the police action against those accused in the incident. The prime accused, identified by police as Nandan Yadav, was injured in a police encounter and arrested.
