Jehanabad: Panic broke out on Monday, January 19, at an engineering college in Bihar’s Jehanabad district after a fire erupted in a hostel building at the Hulasganj campus. Officials said the fire began in one of the rooms due to a suspected short circuit and quickly spread to nearby rooms, filling the building with thick smoke.
Students rushed out of the hostel as flames intensified, leading to chaos and confusion. In the scramble to escape, six engineering students sustained burn injuries. One of them was reported to be in a serious condition and was referred to Jehanabad Sadar Hospital for treatment.
