Patna: Temperatures in Bihar are set to rise over the coming days, offering a mild respite from the deep winter chill. However, residents are advised that mornings and evenings will continue to feel cold, with light to moderate fog expected in several districts.
According to the Meteorological Department, over the next three days, maximum and minimum temperatures across the state are likely to increase by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday, most districts can expect light to moderate fog during morning and night hours, with dense fog forecasted in parts of Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, Supaul, and Araria.
Monday morning saw similar conditions, with light to moderate fog in 12 districts, including Patna, while Bhagalpur experienced dense fog. Visibility in Bhagalpur was recorded at just 25 metres, highlighting hazardous conditions for early commuters.
Temperature readings across the state have generally risen. Maximum temperatures ranged from 23.3°C to 29.1°C, while minimums were between 6.2°C and 13.4°C. Patna recorded a maximum of 24.5°C and a minimum of 11.4°C, slightly above normal for this time of year. Despite the warmer days, the cold remains noticeable in the mornings and evenings, although sunshine is expected to brighten the daytime.
