The first service, the Howrah–Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express (13065/13066), will start from Howrah on January 22, running via Dhanbad, Gomo, Koderma, Gaya, and DDU. The non-AC premium train has 20 coaches and is expected to offer passengers from Patna division a quicker route to Delhi through key stations such as Gaya and DDU.
The Banaras–Sialdah Amrit Bharat Express (22588/22587) will begin regular operations from January 23. Running via DDU, Patna, Jasidih, and Asansol, the train will stop at Patna Junction, providing affordable, direct travel for passengers heading to Kolkata and Banaras. It will operate three days a week with a total of 18 coaches.
The third train, the Dibrugarh–Gomtinagar Amrit Bharat Express (15949/15950), will start on January 30 and follow the Katihar–Baruni–Hajipur–Chhapra–Gorakhpur route. Passing through Hajipur and Sonpur junctions, it will improve connectivity between North Bihar, Patna, northeast India, and the Lucknow region.
Railway officials said the Amrit Bharat trains will offer modern facilities, improved seating and sleeping arrangements, and a premium experience at affordable fares. Authorities expect the new services to strengthen Patna’s role in the national rail network while supporting education, employment, and business opportunities in the region.
