Surveys involving disputed land will take slightly longer, with a maximum timeframe of 11 working days after the fee is paid, according to the chief minister.
He said surveyors would be required to upload their reports on the designated online portal within 14 days of the application date, once the survey process is completed. The revenue and land reforms department will ensure adequate staffing, resources and close supervision to meet the stipulated deadlines, he said.
The chief minister also sought feedback from the public on the new system. Citizens wishing to offer suggestions have been asked to submit them by January 25.
Land surveys and related disputes have long been a sensitive administrative issue in Bihar, with delays often leading to legal complications and public grievances. The government has said the new timelines are aimed at improving efficiency and transparency in land administration.
