Patna: The Revenue and Land Reforms Department has issued a new order regarding the ongoing special land survey in Bihar. According to the order, landowners, or Raiyats, are not required to be physically present during the land verification process. They may send a trusted representative in their place, though it is not mandatory. This step is aimed at simplifying the identification process for the survey personnel.
To address public concerns, the department has issued additional instructions clarifying the requirements for land surveys. Among them, the Raiyats are asked to submit their Self Declaration Format-2 or Descendant Genealogy in offline mode at special camps organized at the zonal level. These documents must also be uploaded on the land records website.
In cases where land has been exchanged or purchased, a copy of the transaction documents must be submitted. Similarly, for disputed land that has been settled through the court, a copy of the court’s decision must be provided. Other necessary documents, such as a settlement land certificate or Bhudan certificate, must also be attached.
