Bihar Mahila Udyog Sangh to Host ‘Holi Mela’ at Gyan Bhawan from March 14- 18
Patna: The Bihar Mahila Udyog Sangh has announced the organization of a five-day ‘Holi Mela- 2024’ at Gyan Bhawan, Patna, commencing from March 14 and continuing till March 18. President of the association, Usha Jha, said in a press conference on Tuesday that this fair is poised to become the largest of its kind in north India, boasting participation from notable entities including NABARD, Women and Child Development Corporation, and various government and non-government agencies, alongside women entrepreneurs.
The fair will showcase a diverse array of products ranging from silk, handloom, jewellery, sattu, papad, pickle, Mithila painting, and tikuli to Sikki art items, 3D printed articles, robotics, home decor, and more. Honors and prizes will be conferred during the closing ceremony, with free entry for visitors. Over 200 stalls will be erected by women entrepreneurs hailing from Bihar and different states across the country.
Usha Jha emphasized that the association has been providing a vital platform for women entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their merchandise for the past 28 years. Through this fair, women have the opportunity to exhibit and vend their goods, fostering economic empowerment and entrepreneurship among them.
The inaugural ceremony of the fair will witness the presence of distinguished guests including former MLA Leshi Singh, Patna Mayor Sita Sahu, SIDBI General Manager Anubha Prasad, Director MSME DFO Patna, NABARD CGM, and Chairman of Bihar Industries Association (BIA), among others.
