Patna: The Bihar government has issued internship offer letters to 11 candidates under the Mukhyamantri Pratigya Internship Scheme, an initiative aimed at equipping young people with practical exposure to governance and public administration.
The programme is being implemented by the Bihar Skill Development Mission under the Department of Youth Employment and Skill Development.
Focus On Experiential Learning
Offer letters were distributed by Kaushal Kishore, secretary of the department, who encouraged the interns to make full use of the opportunity to understand the functioning of government systems.
Officials said the six-month internship will combine academic inputs with hands-on experience across various administrative processes.
Diverse Skill Backgrounds
The selected interns come from a range of disciplines, including full-stack development, accounts, human resources, research and policy, and social media.
Authorities said the diversity reflects the evolving skill requirements of governance and development sectors.
Orientation And Training
The interns underwent an orientation session where they were introduced to departmental structures, roles and operational procedures.
Kishore emphasised the importance of professional ethics, public service and practical learning in his address.
Building Future Talent
Officials said the initiative is designed not only to provide stipends but also to build capacity among young professionals and encourage their participation in policymaking and administration.
Participants said the programme offers an opportunity to gain real-world insights into governance and develop competitive skills.
