Bhojpur: A temple in Bihar’s Bhojpur district has become the centre of religious fervour and curiosity after reports emerged that the idol of Nandi, Lord Shiva’s sacred bull, appeared to drink milk offered by devotees.
The incident occurred in Katar village under Hasan Bazar police station, where worshippers gathered at the local Shiva temple during the holy month of Sawan. According to eyewitnesses, the phenomenon was first observed by a group of devotees who had arrived for routine prayers. They claimed the stone idol of Nandi accepted spoonfuls of milk, a sight that quickly drew others to the temple.
Footage and images circulating on social media show devotees spoon-feeding the statue while chanting “Har Har Mahadev” as crowds swell within the temple premises. Many described the occurrence as a divine sign or miracle, especially significant during Sawan, a month dedicated to Lord Shiva.
“This is nothing short of Lord Bholenath’s blessing,” said one local devotee. “We are fortunate to witness such a miracle.”
While many locals have embraced the event as a manifestation of faith, others have raised questions, calling for a scientific explanation. As of now, no official statement has been released by the temple authorities.
With growing crowds, the local administration has deployed volunteers and villagers to manage the influx and maintain order around the temple site.
