Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will distribute appointment letters on August 19 to dependents of teachers and government employees who died while in service. The letters, issued on compassionate grounds, will offer posts as school clerks and attendants in secondary and higher secondary schools.
CM Nitish will personally hand over letters to appointees from Patna district at Samvad, the chief minister’s secretariat, in a ceremonial event. In other districts, the appointment letters will be distributed this week by ministers in charge, with dates finalised according to their schedules.
The director of secondary education, Dinesh Kumar, has instructed all district magistrates and education officers to ensure the process runs smoothly.
Meanwhile, as part of the Sushasan Ka Saar–Aapke Dwar campaign, 40 teams from the JDU women’s cell were flagged off on Sunday from the party’s state headquarters in Patna.
The teams will conduct door-to-door outreach at booth level in assembly constituencies, distributing booklets, handbills and stickers to highlight Kumar’s two decades in office, with a particular focus on policies for women’s empowerment.
