The announcement was made through an official update on X, where the department outlined different time limits for various categories of corrections. Officials said the timeline has been designed to ensure quicker resolution while maintaining proper verification procedures.
Under the new system, minor clerical or typographical errors such as mistakes in the name of the landholder or the father’s name will be corrected within a maximum of 15 working days. Errors related to technical details in land records, including account number, plot or survey number, land revenue, and other record discrepancies, will be processed within 35 working days.
More complicated cases that require field verification or detailed administrative inquiry will take longer. According to the department, such special or complex cases may require up to 75 working days for correction and verification.
Citizens seeking corrections through the Parimarjan Plus system must apply online via the Bihar Bhumi Portal. Applicants can submit their requests by visiting (https://biharbhumi.bihar.gov.in) and completing the prescribed digital application process.
Officials said the introduction of a structured timeline is expected to make land record corrections more time-bound, transparent and accountable, offering relief to thousands of landowners who often face delays in rectifying errors in official records.
