Patna: The Bihar government has ordered the transfer of seven Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), with several postings affecting districts including Patna, Araria, Nawada, and Katihar. The Home Department issued an official notification on Tuesday detailing the changes.
According to the notification from the Reserve Branch of the Home Department, Fakhre Alam, previously posted in Araria, has been appointed as Deputy Superintendent of Traffic Police in Araria. Rishabh Dev Ranjan, the Traffic DSP of Nawada, has been transferred to the Special Security Force in Patna.
Two other officers, Akash Kishore, formerly of the Crime Investigation Department in Patna, and Shatrughan Kumar Mandal, DSP of SCRB and Modernization, have also been moved to the Special Security Force. Manoj Kumar Singh, who was responsible for Secretariat Security in Patna, has been sent to Araria to take charge as DSP Headquarters.
Traffic DSP Diwan Ekram Khan of Araria has been posted to Katihar, where he will join the Bihar Special Armed Police-7 (BSAP-7). Rajesh Ranjan, DSP of BSAP-1 in Patna, has been transferred to Secretariat Security, replacing Manoj Kumar Singh.
The transfers reflect routine administrative reshuffles aimed at strengthening police administration across the state.
