Patna: Bihar’s Labour Resources Department Secretary, Deepak Anand, concluded his three-day visit to Haryana and Delhi (November 10–12) aimed at strengthening partnerships in skill development and employment generation. During the visit, he met with industrial leaders, university officials, and policymakers to explore collaborations that could benefit Bihar’s workforce and training infrastructure.
On November 10, Anand visited the Hero MotoCorp plant in Dharuhera, Haryana, where he held extensive discussions with company officials on their potential participation in Bihar’s upcoming Mega Skill Centres. He also invited Hero MotoCorp to join the Chief Minister’s Promise Scheme, under which the company agreed to offer internship opportunities to Bihar’s youth.
The following day, on November 11, Anand represented Bihar at the National Conference of Ministers and Secretaries of Labour, Employment, and Industry at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event saw participation from several states and union territories. Anand shared Bihar’s progress on ongoing skill development programmes and explored prospects for industrial collaboration and labour reforms.
On the final day, November 12, Anand visited the Shri Vishwakarma Skill University in Haryana, where he met the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, and senior faculty members. He reviewed the university’s industry-integrated training model and discussed ways to adapt its framework for Bihar’s proposed Skill University. The university administration assured full cooperation in knowledge exchange and capacity building.
Anand stated that the visit marks “an important step towards creating sustainable employment and industry-ready skills for Bihar’s youth.” The initiatives discussed are expected to pave the way for stronger ties between Bihar’s government, academia, and industry in the coming months.
