Bihar Takes Major Leap in Industrial Development with MoUs Worth Rs 1.81 Lakh Crore: Nitish Mishra
Patna: Bihar’s Minister for Industries and Tourism, Nitish Mishra, announced that the state has made a significant advancement in industrial growth through the Bihar Business Connect initiative. He revealed that MoUs worth Rs 1.81 lakh crore have been signed during the program, marking a major step in the state’s industrial development.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office, Mishra explained that the Industries Department had visited various cities to showcase Bihar’s improved infrastructure and policies. The initiative culminated in an international-level event in Delhi, where Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and several Union Ministers participated. Mishra emphasized that the strong backing from the double-engine government had contributed to the initiative’s success.
Mishra shared that 423 MoUs had been signed, and the government was fully prepared to implement these projects. He reassured investors that necessary facilities would be provided and disclosed that over 9,000 acres of land had been acquired across districts. He also noted plans to create a land bank and that Bihar had secured a Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
Mishra expressed confidence that Bihar is becoming a preferred destination for investors, with the state gaining national recognition for its potential. He highlighted that the industrial initiatives are creating ample employment opportunities for the youth, fostering self-employment, and driving the state’s economic growth.
