Muzaffarpur: Bihar University has put in place a new rule for its staff. From now on, principals, department heads and non-teaching employees will have to remain present in office during working hours. If anyone needs to go out for office work or take leave, they must inform the Vice Chancellor’s office in advance.
The registrar has issued a notification saying that non-teaching staff at the university headquarters also need to inform the registrar’s office before going on leave. If they fail to do so, the leave will be treated as unpaid.
The university has warned that strict action will be taken against anyone found absent without permission. Action will be as per the University Service Code and related rules.
This order has been sent to all affiliated and constituent college principals, PG department heads and various branches. The aim is to improve discipline and ensure accountability across the university.
