Patna: The Bihar government has announced the selection of 130 youths for employment and training at a major electronics manufacturing company based in Noida, in what officials described as a significant boost to the state’s employment efforts. The selections have been made under the Chief Minister Pratigya Scheme, run by the department of youth, employment and skill development.
According to the government, the initiative is designed to connect young people from Bihar with national and global job markets. The selected candidates will undergo hands-on training in modern electronics manufacturing and assembly, working directly on high-tech factory floors and gaining exposure to real industrial processes.
During the training period, participants will receive guidance from industry experts, with a focus on technical skills, professional conduct and personality development. The state government will also provide a stipend to ensure financial support while the trainees complete their programme.
Officials said the scale of the current selection reflects a growing confidence among leading industries in Bihar’s talent pool. The Pratigya scheme, they added, has become a key tool in narrowing the gap between education and employment, while creating sustainable career paths for young people.
The scheme is part of Bihar’s wider commitment to link 10 million youths with employment or self-employment opportunities. Similar placements have previously been made in Bengaluru and other cities, where selected candidates are already undergoing on-the-job training. The government says the programme is also strengthening India’s manufacturing ambitions under the Make in India campaign.
