While Rohit Ranjan from Patna has created a humanoid robot named Arcy, 16-year-old Vaibhav Vigya from Jamalpur in Munger has gained international recognition for finding a security flaw in artificial intelligence. These achievements show that even with limited resources, great ideas and hard work can bring global appreciation.
Rohit Ranjan, a robotics engineer, built Arcy, a female humanoid robot, at a cost of just Rs 6 lakh. Around the world, such robots usually cost crores of rupees, but Rohit designed and developed it completely in Bihar. Arcy can talk with people, recognise faces and even speak in multiple languages including Hindi, English, Bhojpuri and Maithili. Rohit’s dream is to bring such robots into schools, hospitals and offices so that technology can help people in their daily lives. He believes that Bihar can also create world-class innovations with dedication and passion.
On the other hand, Vaibhav Vigya, a school student, has shown his brilliance in cyber security. Without any formal training, he discovered a major flaw in an international AI system and reported it responsibly. His effort was appreciated by the company’s CEO, Sam Altman, who rewarded him with a one-year ChatGPT Plus subscription. Vaibhav’s discovery has made him popular in the global tech community. His parents say they are proud of him and want him to achieve even greater success in AI and cyber security research.
The achievements of Rohit and Vaibhav are more than just personal victories. They represent a new face of Bihar that is rising in the world of science and technology. While Rohit proved that humanoid robots can be built with limited resources, Vaibhav showed that honesty and curiosity can make a difference at the global level.
