Patna: The Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (Patna Campus) is set to host IMPACT 2025, an international conference on intelligent machine processes and AI-centric technologies, on December 5–6. The event will bring together leading voices from around the world in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and smart computing, creating a platform for researchers, academics, industry experts, and students to exchange ideas and showcase innovations in emerging technologies.
Under the guidance of Dr Anand Kumar Sinha, director of BIT Mesra Patna, the conference marks a step toward establishing Bihar as a growing centre for technology-driven research and higher education. Dr Sinha said IMPACT 2025 will “strengthen Bihar’s academic footprint in the fields of AI and intelligent systems while creating collaborative opportunities for global research engagement.”
Global Experts to Lead Discussions
IMPACT 2025 will feature a roster of distinguished keynote speakers from India and abroad, including Dr Ian Chew from Singapore, Dr-Ing Sian Lun Lau from Malaysia, Dr Sriparna Saha of IIT Patna, Kamiya Khatter of Springer Nature, and Dr Ditipriya Sinha from NIT Patna. Presentations will cover topics ranging from deep learning architectures and intelligent human–machine systems to sustainable AI solutions, natural language processing innovations, and the future of data-driven decision-making.
The conference is coordinated by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at BIT Patna, under convenors Dr Ayan Kumar Das, Dr Gyanendra Tiwary, and Dr Amit Prakash, who are organising technical sessions, panel discussions, workshops, and paper presentations to create a transformative academic experience.
Publication and Global Visibility
Selected, peer-reviewed papers presented during the conference will be considered for publication in the globally recognised Springer ICT Book Series, which is indexed in Scopus. This offers participating researchers an opportunity to gain international scholarly visibility.
Showcasing Bihar’s Heritage
In addition to academic exchange, IMPACT 2025 will introduce international delegates to Bihar’s cultural and historical legacy, with visits planned to heritage sites such as Nalanda, Rajgir, and Bodh Gaya. The initiative aims to promote academic tourism while highlighting the state’s potential as a research hub.
