Patna: A member of the BJP’s Bihar working committee has filed a police complaint against Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishor, alleging defamation of Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.
Krishna Singh Kallu lodged the FIR at the Gandhi Maidan police station in Patna, accusing Kishor of making derogatory remarks against Choudhary during a recent media conclave. According to the complaint, Prashant Kishor claimed that the deputy chief minister is “only a seventh pass” and that his original name was Rakesh Kumar before it was changed to Samrat Choudhary.
The complaint further states that Prashant’s remarks amount to a conspiracy to malign the image of BJP leaders, including party state president Dilip Jaiswal.
This is not the first legal action faced by Prashant in recent weeks. An earlier FIR was registered at the Secretariat police station in Patna in connection with a protest march led by Jan Suraj. The case names Prashant, eight party leaders, and over 300 unidentified supporters for violating curfew orders and assaulting police personnel.
Among those named in the protest FIR are Jan Suraj state president Manoj Bharti, spokesperson Vivek Kumar, Lalan Yadav, Jitendra Yadav, and YouTuber Manish Kashyap, who recently joined the party.
