Patna: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has indicated that the online application process for the Teacher Recruitment Examination 4 (TRE-4) may begin from September 21, 2026.
The commission shared the update through its official social media platform, providing a fresh timeline for candidates waiting to apply for the recruitment process.
Earlier September 1 Application Schedule Was Postponed
The TRE-4 online application process was originally scheduled to begin on September 1, 2026.
However, BPSC postponed the proposed application process, citing procedural changes.
The recruitment drive covers 32,388 teaching vacancies, according to the earlier announcement by the commission.
Fresh Timeline Brings Clarity For Candidates
The revised tentative date is expected to provide clarity to candidates preparing for the teacher recruitment examination.
Candidates had expressed concern after the September 1 application schedule was postponed, particularly over the possibility of further delays in the recruitment process.
However, the latest update indicates that the commission is working towards opening the application process later this month.
Education Minister Calls For Patience
Earlier, Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari said the postponement was linked to preparations required by BPSC for conducting the recruitment process.
He said the government and the commission were working to ensure that the examination is conducted with proper arrangements and transparency.
According to the minister, the decision was intended to allow BPSC adequate time to prepare for the recruitment process, given the large number of vacancies involved.
Candidates should wait for the official BPSC notification for the final application schedule, eligibility conditions and other recruitment-related details.
