Motihari: A bus traveling from Jaipur to Motihari overturned in the Kotwa area of Motihari, Bihar, injuring 20 passengers, including two pregnant women. The injured were immediately taken to Motihari Sadar Hospital and nearby facilities, with the most seriously hurt referred to specialized care in Motihari.
Eyewitnesses said the bus was moving at high speed when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn. Passengers screamed as chaos unfolded, and several were trapped inside the bus.
Local villagers and passersby rushed to the scene to assist police and rescue teams in evacuating the passengers. A JCB machine was used to lift the overturned bus, and traffic on NH-27, which was temporarily blocked, was restored after several hours.
Dr Reshmi confirmed that both pregnant women and their children were safe, with only minor injuries reported. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
