Patna: The Central Board of Secondary Education has declared its Class 10 examination results, with 89.33% of students passing this year, bringing relief and celebration to lakhs of candidates and their families across India.
In the Patna zone, students recorded a pass rate of 89.33%, a figure that, while marginally below the national average, stands stronger than several other regions, including Bhopal and Noida. The performance has been viewed as steady, reflecting incremental improvements in the region’s academic outcomes.
Girls have once again outperformed boys, continuing a consistent national trend. The pass percentage among girls stood at 91.64%, compared with 85.70% for boys — a gap of 5.94 percentage points that underscores the growing academic lead of female students.
Southern regions maintained their dominance in the results. Vijayawada emerged as the top-performing zone with a pass percentage of 99.60%, followed closely by Thiruvananthapuram at 99.32% and Chennai at 97.39%.
Among school categories, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya recorded the highest success rate at 99.29%, while Kendriya Vidyalaya followed with 99.05%, reinforcing the strong performance of centrally administered institutions.
Students can access their scorecards through the official CBSE results portals by entering their roll number, school code and admit card ID. Digital mark sheets are also available via the DigiLocker platform.
The board has also opened provisions for re-evaluation for those dissatisfied with their marks, alongside an SMS facility for accessing results, in a bid to streamline the post-result process.
