Patna: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that registration for the 2025 board examinations for classes 10 and 12 has begun today and continue until September 30.
In fresh guidelines sent to affiliated schools, the board made it clear that no corrections will be permitted in the List of Candidates (LOC) once data has been uploaded. Schools have been instructed to exercise extra caution while filling in student details, including names, parents’ names, dates of birth, subject codes and subject combinations.
Only students with an Apaar ID will be eligible to register. Late submissions will attract a penalty of Rs 2,000 if filed between October 3 and 11. Examination fees have been set at Rs 1,600 for five subjects and Rs 320 for an additional subject. For class 12 students, an extra Rs 160 will be charged for each subject with practical components, while visually impaired students will remain exempted from fees.
The board has also announced a major reform: from the academic session 2025-26, class 10 exams will be conducted twice a year, with the first round scheduled in February and mandatory for all students.
Students and parents have been urged to ensure that details are entered correctly and fees are deposited on time to avoid complications.
