Patna: The Common Entrance Test (CET-B.Ed) 2026 for admission to B.Ed colleges across Bihar will be conducted on Sunday across 11 cities of the state. Authorities have completed all preparations for the examination, which will see the participation of 1,23,237 candidates.
According to official data, 77,263 women and 45,970 men are expected to appear for the entrance test. The examination will be conducted under heightened security and monitoring arrangements to ensure a transparent, fair and malpractice-free process.
Strict Guidelines for Candidates
The examination organising committee has issued detailed instructions for candidates. Only the admit card, a valid photo identity proof and a passport-sized photograph will be permitted inside the examination centres.
Candidates have been advised to reach their respective centres well before the reporting time to complete verification and security checks without inconvenience.
As part of the security protocol, shoes, socks, belts, caps and several electronic items have been prohibited inside examination premises.
Electronic Gadgets Completely Banned
Officials associated with the examination management have warned that candidates carrying prohibited devices may be denied entry or barred from appearing in the examination.
Mobile phones, smartwatches, digital watches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, pen drives, electronic pens, headphones, earphones, scanners and all other electronic gadgets have been banned inside the examination centres.
Candidates have also been advised to wear light and simple clothing to facilitate smooth frisking and verification procedures.
180 Centres, Jammers at 164 Locations
A total of 180 examination centres have been established across Bihar for CET-B.Ed 2026.
To prevent any misuse of technology or unfair practices, jammers have been installed at 164 centres. These devices will block mobile networks, internet connectivity and other wireless communication channels during the examination.
Officials said the move is aimed at ensuring a secure and disruption-free examination environment.
Flying Squads and Magistrates on Duty
Special observers have been deployed in all 11 examination cities to oversee the conduct of the test.
Additionally, around 120 flying squads will carry out surprise inspections at examination centres across the state. Another 60 magistrate-cum-coordinator observers have been assigned to monitor law and order and supervise examination operations.
The administration has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards any form of irregularity, misconduct or malpractice.
University Issues Directions for Smooth Conduct
The nodal university for CET-B.Ed 2026, BRA Bihar University, has directed all centre superintendents, observers and examination personnel to ensure strict adherence to guidelines and maintain transparency throughout the process.
Helpline numbers have also been issued for candidates seeking assistance regarding examination-related issues or grievances.
Officials said special surveillance measures have been implemented this year with a focus on security, transparency and smooth conduct to ensure the successful completion of CET-B.Ed 2026 across Bihar.
