Patna: A murder investigation is underway in Patna after Chandan Mishra, a criminal figure from Buxar, was shot dead inside Paras Hospital on Thursday morning. According to police sources, five armed assailants entered the hospital and opened fire on Mishra, who was undergoing treatment at the facility.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV, with the footage now circulating widely on social media. Based on the footage, Patna Police and the Special Task Force (STF) have identified all five shooters. One of them has been identified as Badshah, a known figure in the region’s criminal circles and suspected leader of the group involved in the attack.
Police teams have since launched a series of coordinated raids, targeting locations across Phulwari Sharif and other parts of the city, including the residence of the suspected gang leader. Authorities are also tracking the escape route taken by the assailants, who reportedly fled towards the Samanpura area after the killing.
The motive behind the murder is yet to be officially confirmed, but officials suggest that it may be linked to long-standing gang rivalries.
